On the 14th of May I got together with a bunch of friends at Lorne Point for a BBQ, beers and music, the weather was amazing, surf firing and vibe all time.
Here are a couple shots I recently got developed, see you next time.
A message from The Ilvia Community for this year’s Side Slippin adventure in Lorne.
So after last years raddness at the 1st “side slippin surfing bonanza” on the Mornington Penninsula we felt the need to provide a solution to a little issue we had last year: being to drunk to drive home, sssoooo we present to you “the ilvia community express”. Our double Decker chariot will depart from 33 Simmons South Yarra at 9am arriving at Lorne point at approximately 12pm. At which point the top deck of the buss will be open for crew to rancho relaxo and view the salty seadogs and purple pixies take to the point on their array of fishes, mals or whatever else has been created for the day. The bus will take to the freeway bound for melbourne at approximately 10-10.30pm after the art exhibiton/gig at Cuda bar in Lorne. We have 40 ish seats available at 30 Clam each.

GHOST MUTT are three young lads, who enjoy thrashing out tunes, talking to girls, foam dancing and hanging upside down in caves from the west coast of Vic, I first met them at the Side Slippin event in July.
I captured these freaks in a Melbourne bar called Yah Yahs last October, the microphone’s quality is a bit average so go see them live.
On the weekend I ran a little event called Side Slippin, Hot Dogs and Pine Logs at Pines in Shoreham on the Peninsula.
It was a cool gathering of surfers riding alaias and long boards, mainly due to the tiny waves, but also displayed across the beach were twin fins and quads too, the aim was to promote anything but the standard hi performance thruster and fun with friends.
The sun was out and good times were had, I rode a door and gave some prizes out, which lead to only taking a handfull of photos, here’s one of good mate Banjo testing out cold Victorian waters.
Side Slippin hot dogs and pine logs, a fun afternoon of slippin ahead.
